			Polyptych of the Madonna Enthroned: Detail, the Man of Sorrows
			
			This is the simpler version of the Man of Sorrows iconography, without the Virgin Mary and St. John. Christ stands in his sarcophagus with eyes closed, "wounded for our iniquities,…bruised for our sins."
